This Privacy Policy explains how Harmony Control ("we," "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information when you use our Service. It applies alongside our Terms of Use.
1. Information we collect
Account information: email address, username, password (stored hashed), role preference, registration and login timestamps, and legal acceptance records.
Profile information: optional details you provide in your profile (display name, bio, location preferences, etc.).
Relationship data: content you and your partner(s) create within the Service—including contracts, rules, Harmony Hub entries (boundaries, limits, wants, needs, desires), journals, tasks, messages, health scores, and game progress.
Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, cookies/session identifiers, and server logs used for security and troubleshooting.
Payment data: if you purchase subscriptions or store items, payment processing is handled by third-party processors; we receive transaction status and limited billing metadata, not full card numbers stored by us.
2. How we use information
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
- Authenticate users and send account-related emails (activation, security notices);
- Enable features shared with your relationship partner(s);
- Process payments and subscriptions;
- Monitor abuse, enforce Terms, and protect security;
- Respond to support requests;
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their marketing.
3. Sharing of information
With your partner(s): Relationship content is shared with users linked in that relationship as designed by the app.
Service providers: We may use hosting, email, payment, and analytics providers who process data on our behalf under contractual obligations.
Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
Business transfers: If the Service is transferred or reorganized, user data may transfer as part of that transaction with notice where required.
4. Sensitive content
You may store intimate, sexual, or dynamic-related information in the Service. You choose what to record. We treat this data as confidential account content, accessible only as needed to operate the Service (including limited admin access for support, abuse review, or legal compliance). Do not store information you are not comfortable keeping in a cloud service.

We retain account and relationship data while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account or request deletion (subject to our ability to fulfill the request), we will delete or anonymize personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, security, or backup purposes.
6. Security
We use industry-standard measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), password hashing, and access controls. No system is completely secure; you are responsible for safeguarding your password and device.
7. Cookies and sessions
We use session cookies to keep you logged in and remember preferences. You can control cookies through your browser; disabling them may limit functionality.
8. Your choices and rights

You can update profile fields in the app and control some visibility settings where offered.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has registered, contact us immediately.
10. International users
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. By using the Service, you consent to transfer and processing as described here, subject to applicable law.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. We will post the new version with an updated effective date. Material changes may require renewed acceptance where required by law or our Terms.
